The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I (Two-Disc Special Edition)The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 delivers strongly for the rabid fan base who have catapulted the young adult novel series and subsequent movie adaptations to the worldwide phenomenon that it's become, but it alienates a broader audience with a lack of any real action. Similar to the tone of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, the first film of the two-part Twilight conclusion is heavy on romance, love, and turmoil but light on fight scenes and gruesome battles. The movie doesn't waste any time getting to the goods and opens with Bella and Edward's much-hyped wedding scene. It works--the vows are efficient and first-time franchise director Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) moves the party along quickly and amusingly with a well-edited toast scene and some surprisingly moving moments between Bella and her father, cast standout Billy Burke. The honeymoon plays as a slightly awkward soft-focus made-for-TV movie, with a lot of long moments spent staring in the mirror and some love scenes that feel at once overly intimate and completely passionless. It's a relief when Bella retches on a bite of chicken she's cooked herself and quickly concludes she's pregnant with a potentially demonic baby. From bliss to horror, the Cullens return to Forks, where Bella spends the second half of the movie wasting away and Edward and Jacob are aligned in their anger and frustration over her decision. Throw in some over-the-top scenes with Jacob and his pack--including a strange showdown where the wolves communicate in their canine form by having a passionate nonverbal fight in their minds (a plot point that works much better in print, it's portrayed in the film via aggressive voice-over)--and the film overshoots intensity and goes straight to silly. The birth scene is horrific, but not as gruesome as in the book, and by the end, Bella has of course survived, though is much altered. The final scene features a delightfully campy Michael Sheen as Volturi leader Aro and makes it clear that the action and fun in Breaking Dawn, Part 1 is ready to start. U2: From The Sky Down [Blu-ray]In 2011, U2 returned to Hansa Studios in Berlin to discuss the making of Achtung Baby. From The Sky Down, is a documentary film directed by Academy Award winning director Davis Guggenheim (It Might Get Loud, Waiting for Superman, An Inconvenient Truth).


Screened in the UK as part of the BBC's Imagine Series, From The Sky Down was the first ever documentary film to open the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival. From The Sky Down includes bonus footage of So Cruel, Love Is Blindness, and The Fly shot in May 2011 during the band's visit to Hansa Studios to mark the 20th anniversary of Achtung Baby; as well as a Q&A with Bono, The Edge and Davis Guggenheim filmed at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2011.


Twenty years after the release of U2's Achtung Baby (1991), Davis Guggenheim charts the path toward this groundbreaking album. Guggenheim uses animation and unseen footage from Berlin and Dublin alongside conversation to reveal what is now a key chapter in U2 s career.

The Mazda brake pad is an important part of the braking system either you are using a drum or disc brakes. This is basically a steel backing plate with a friction material bonded or riveted to its surface facing the disc brake or drum. It has the capacity to convert the kinetic energy of your moving vehicle into a thermal energy due to friction. The brake pad is attached to the brake caliper, one at each side of the brake rotor. Early brake linings are made from asbestos since they known for their heat absorbing capacities and quiet braking operations. However, due to health risks, the use of asbestos has been outlawed so new and better friction materials are now used. Whenever the brake pedal is engaged, the brake fluid contained in the master cylinder is channeled to the brake caliper where it pushes against a piston. This piston will then do its job of compressing or squeezing the brake pads, allowing it to rub against the rotor. This process will create a friction that will stop the wheels from spinning.

When the Mazda brake pad is subjected to heat due to the friction it creates when it rub against the rotor or drum, it starts to transfer small fractions of material to the disc, which makes the pads look dull grey. The brake rotor and the disc, now having those friction materials on, will then “bind” at each other in order to provide an effective stopping power. However, the friction of the brake pad against the disc is the one greatly responsible for the majority of the stopping power. In disc brake applications, there are usually two brake pads employed per disc which are held in place and operated via the brake caliper that is attached to the wheel hub or suspension upright. In drum brake applications, the brake pads are attached to the wheel hub or mounting plate wherein the friction surfaces push out against the inside of the brake drum.

There are various types of and the difference will have to do with how long the pad will last and how quiet it operates during braking. Since it is a normal wear item in your vehicle, it is just right to properly follow its recommended replacement intervals stated on your owner’s manual. If your brake pads use hard linings, surely they last longer and stop better under all conditions, but it may produce an irritating squeal when the brake is applied. The brake pad should be inspected for wear periodically since it the lining wears down to the metal brake shoes, then a “metal-to-metal” contact will certainly occur which can cause grave damage and loss of braking efficiency. Some brake pads are equipped with a brake warning sensor that generates a squealing noise to indicate that the pad are worn to the point where they need to be changed. The noise is usually emitted when your foot is off the brake pedal and disappears as you step on it. If your vehicle is equipped with this sensor and you hear the noise, have your brakes inspected as soon as possible.
